Accessibility Info

Elevator Alley Kayak welcomes everyone to join us! We are working with the NY Power Authority and Canal Corporation's Accessibility Education Program and Rochester Accessible Adventures to increase accessibility and promote greater inclusion of people living with disabilities along the Canalway access.

Service Animals- Elevator Alley Kayak welcomes dogs, including service and emotional support animals, on our trips as long as they are well behaved and cleaned up after. We do require the dog to wear a floatation device. We have several for loan but for best fit, we recommend bringing their personally fitted PFD. The park where we launch requires that all dogs be leashed and cleaned up after.

Outfitted Adaptive Kayak

All of the components can be adjusted or removed individually, allowing for quick set-up for a wide range of paddlers.

Basic Seat

Each support point of the seat is able to be independently tilted, adjusted or removed to create a custom fit. All supports are cushioned with closed-cell foam and covered in breathable mesh fabric for maximum skin protection.

Paddle Pedestal

This pivoted paddle adaption allows one arm control of the kayak. It also provides support to remove the weight of the paddle from the paddlers arms when using both arms.
